UPDATE AFTER FINAL POINTS RACE Oct 5, 2008
The season final results and standings have been
updated. Congratulations to all the class winners! You can click on the "2008
Race/Points Results" link to see the results. Also, data has been uploaded
to MyLaps.com and you can view that
as well.
We would like to thank all the racers and their families for joining us this
year. There were many exciting races and we believe the club, as a whole, made
great strides in improving the racing environment, where we all can come and
pursue our passion for motorsports.
We would also like to thank all of our Raceday
sponsors for their support. Without them, a lot of this would not be possible.
Please patronize the companies listed on the left, whenever you are in need of
services they offer.
Again, thanks to all the HRKC members for
supporting the club this year. You are the reason that we are here.
Lots of Photos Available from Club Photographer
Bruce and Kaye Albin of PICYER Photos are the
HRKC official photographers, and they have literally thousands of photos taken
from this past racing season. They were at most of the events, including the
Turkey race on Oct 26, and have compiled a collection of some impressive shots.
Everyone is sure to find numerous pictures of their favorite driver. You can
visit their web site to view and purchase all sizes of photos, by clicking on
the PYP logo to the left or by clicking on the following link:

Bruce and Kaye spent a lot of their time at
the track with us this year, so support them by picking up a few pics from their
site. The prices are extremely reasonable and the buyer experience online is
easy.
HRKC LOGO CONTEST
The club is still accepting
entries for consideration on a new club logo to be used starting in 2009. If you
have some creative ideas, please get them together and forward your entry
to Susan Mitchell at
hisgirlfriday@cox.net
Please keep the design simple
(not too busy) so that it works well for use on T-shirts, hats, etc.

HRKC Pro Wing Champ Rule Changes
The HRKC Board has meet and have joined into
conversations with Langley Speedway concerning our Rhonnda Claiborne Pro Wing
Champ Karts and their continue venue at the Speedway.
Both organizations have decided on the following
changes to be made immediately: These changes will have to be done prior to the
July 27, 2008 race.
1) Install a triangle window net also known as a
sprint car window net in the left side attached to the rear left roll cage bar
and left front roll cage down bar.
2) Install an aluminum plate, 6" X 6" X
3/16"(thick) adjacent to the clutch on the right hand
side of seat, this is to be known as the "Clutch Protection Plate".
3) Every driver will be required to wear elbow
pads.
4) All rookies that have not achieved the 4 race
rookie qualification, will be required to start in the rear for the remainder of
the 2008 Season.
There are
also some additional changes that are being discussed for the 2009 Season and
those changes will made prior to the 2009 Competition rules and technical manual
